ARM Foundation Begins Operations with 35 beneficiaries

The ARM Foundation is pleased to announce the official launch of the After-School Academic Support Program at the Phil A. Nettleton Wesleyan High School Learning Center. On September 29, 2025, we began serving an initial cohort of 35 students, each receiving targeted instruction in reading and literacy skills to strengthen their academic foundation. This program represents a major milestone in our partnership with the school and in our long-term commitment to expanding learning opportunities for children in Liberia.

As part of this new initiative, ARM hosted a professional development workshop for teachers at the school. The purpose of the workshop was to align teaching methods across both the school day and the after-school program. By ensuring that instruction is consistent and reinforced, we are creating a stronger bridge between classroom learning and supplemental academic support.

The Learning Center now operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing students with access to a safe and encouraging environment equipped for study, reading, and enrichment. This is the first of many steps in our broader effort to offer children quality, relevant educational experiences that help them thrive academically and overcome the barriers associated with poverty.

We look forward to expanding our reach, deepening our programs, and sharing more updates as the Learning Center continues to grow.
